Step 1 Do not display excess cash in the public as this might draw unnecessary attention, instead use NETS or credit card for your purchases.
Step 2 Never leave your handbag in a shopping basket or trolley.
Step 3 Sling your handbag in front of you so that you can keep an eye on it. Ensure that it is properly fastened or zipped.
Step 4 Never leave your personal belonging at the public poolside and go for a swim as this might create an opportunity for the culprit to strike while you are swimming.
Step 5 Keep your wallet in your front pockets. Step 6 Do not doze off the bus or MRT train and leave your belonging unattended.
Step 7 The culprit is always looking for vulnerability therefore you have to look confident and vigilant when you are handing your cash.
Step 8 Stay alert to the surrounding especially at crowded areas.
Step 9 Be on guard and alert for various scams and confidence games that would take place while you are doing banking at an ATM or after a transaction out from the bank.
Step 10 Check your missing cash and valuable immediately if someone bumps into you unnecessarily.
Step 11 Do not be distracted by strangers creating a commotion or accidentally spilling something on you.
Step 12 Never leave your handbag or briefcase.
